I understand from first-hand experience that asking for help can sometimes be terrifying, intimidating, threatening … in short, difficult.  I am well versed in supporting a loved one who went through a life-changing event which required residential treatment and ongoing therapy. And then I chose to ask for help for myself recently and have emerged from the other side with the new perspective and greater compassion of someone who has walked the walk.  My name is Chelsa and I have been honored to be in the first responder family for my entire career.  I’m currently a Public Safety Telecommunications Supervisor with Thurston 911 Communications, where I have worked for over 26 years.  I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Rob, for 24 years and we have a 21-year-old daughter, Hannah, and an 18-year-old son, Landen.  I’m passionate about mental health, proud of our Peer Support Team here in Thurston County and I commit to being of service to anyone who needs support. Text or call anytime!

Angela Larson (360) 972-5894

Hello my name is Angela Larson, I have been a dispatcher since 2016. I am a mother of two a girl and a boy- a stepmom of four, a grandma to two and a fur mama of two awesome doggies. I enjoy photography, crocheting, and puzzles in my spare time.

I became a dispatcher by happenstance and wouldn't change it for the world. I always knew I would end up in a job where helping people was my focus but I never imagined I would be passionate about picking up a 911 line or making sure our responders go home safe at night. I also have found passion in helping and supporting my peers. Please reach out if you need to someone to talk or vent to.

I'm Kayla Anderson. I've been with TCOMM since 2022 with some background at AMR prior to that. I've lived in the PNW my entire life and enjoy taking advantage of the beauty it has to offer with my 3 (going on 13) year old son. I enjoy hiking, baseball, reading, and general adventuring.

I joined the Peer Support Team because I know firsthand how something as simple as a guiding hand in the right direction or a listening ear can make all the difference. I am always open and willing to be that person should you want to reach out.

Sharon Cox (253) 224-8443

Hi!! My name is Sharon and I have two amazing kids that provide me with so much joy in life. A few of the things we love to do together are travel, hike, camp and spend time with our dogs and chickens.

I've worked in public safety for 30 years, including dispatch and law enforcement. I have a passion for this career and the way it allows me to help others in a time of need. It provides a great sense of pride and sense of accomplishment.  With the good, I am fully aware of the bad that can come with the profession as well. I am excited to utilize my desire and passion to help others in peer support and want you to know that if you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you, regardless of the time of day. Call or text me anytime!
