Olympia Peer Support

Erin Johnson (TCPSC Coordinator) (651) 324-0497

I was hired by Olympia Fire in 2018. I enjoy staying active outdoors: Snowboarding, backpacking, mountain biking, you name it. My wife and I moved to Olympia in 2016, we love living so close to all the opportunities that the PNW has to offer. I am very happy Peer Support is a resource available in Thurston County. No matter what department you are with, I believe in our culture of taking care of each other.

Chad Boulay (OFD Coordinator) (360) 888-2634

I came into the Fire Service a little late in life after a career in marine transport.  I grew up in Western Washington and have called Olympia home for over 20 years.  I enjoy a number of outdoor hobbies and I still love being on the water.  I think sometimes in life we have a lot of weight on ourselves and I can’t see any reason not to get a little assistance.  If you feel like you are having tough times and want to know where to turn you can call me.

Kevin Bossard (360) 878-0070

I grew up on a farm, commercial fished all over Alaska, worked construction, and was a logger. All I ever knew was really hard work – and I loved it. Then I discovered the Fire Service! That was 26 years ago. . . We see the best and worst of humanity in this trade and it can take a toll on you. The brevity and comradery we get every shift can also mask underlying feelings of hopelessness. If you are feeling that way now – know there is hope and help for you. The people here want to plug you in to the right people, at the right time, for the right reason. Let’s take care of each other and get you to a better place mentally and physically.

Jason Waters (360) 701-2301

I am Jason Waters and have worked for Olympia fire for 22 years.  I am married and have 2 kids and one adult kid from a blended family.  I enjoy watching my kids play sports and have coached them up until recently as they transition to high school.  We have enjoyed going to the dunes with our quads as well as going to Lake Shasta for a ski boat trip last summer where we tried to kill it on a wakeboard……well, it tried to kill me really 😊.    The fire service can be fun, but it can humble you real quick no matter who you are.   I am always available if you want to chat and/or meet for coffee.   I also give free wakeboarding tips 😊

Kehlen Dorsey (360) 359-1981

My name is Kehlen, I was born and raised in Thurston County. In my spare time you will find me rock climbing or training my new Labradoodle puppy. I believe in the need for Peer Support and am available if you ever need to talk or access to resources.

Rob Bradley (Chaplain) (360) 688-6662

I grew up in the Los Angeles area and spent the first part of my fire service career in California and Arizona. I “escaped” to Washington in 1994 and joined OFD in 1995. I really enjoy bicycling, sticking mostly to a road bike these days. Retiring in 2018, I became a Chaplain a year later. I love serving our responders and the community. Never hesitate to call!

Dustin Howard (707) 290-9658

I started my fire service career in 2006 in the USAF. A mix of active and reserve duty brought my wife and I to WA in 2012 where we grew some roots and have three amazing children. I’ve been a member of OFD since 2015. I’ve learned a few strategies to help me cope along the way and I’m open to sharing those experiences. I enjoy physical training, breathwork, cold exposure and spending time in nature, especially a lake. Asking for help can be difficult, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Shane Dobson (253) 441-0546

I’m Shane Dobson, I’ve been a career firefighter with Oly for 13 years. I’ve been married to my amazing wife for almost 20 years. We have three active kids. In my free time I enjoy relaxing with friends and family, doing various different projects, and strumming on a stringed instrument. I’m a straight shooter who will tell you what you need to hear or just be an ear to listen. I’m honored to serve my fire service family and look forward to our conversations.

Jeremy Fox (360) 556-3405

I am Jeremy Fox. I was born and raised in Montana. I moved to Washington to pursue a fire service career in 2000. I am married and have 3 adult children and I am even a grandpa (hard to believe I know). I have been in the fire service since 2000 with two different agencies. I enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends and working on projects around my house. I am currently the OFD Honor Guard commander and believe in supporting our members in all capacities. I have had my share of difficult calls and challenging life events and have personally benefitted from peer support process through the CISD process and counseling. I am available any day and at any time, please don’t hesitate to give me a call.

Paul Teeter (206) 948-1364

My name is Paul Teeter and I have been with OFD for five years, and love it. Prior to that, I served in the Marine Corps for four years. Through these experiences in these two work environments, I have dealt with trauma and come through the other side with hard work and mental health therapy. I know the value of being able to have someone to talk to, and I aim to be that person for you, if you deem me worthy. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, traveling, exercise, the outdoors, sports, live music, and last but not least, CATS …I love it all. Feel free to give me a call if you need anything and think my life experiences could make me an asset to you and what you’re going through. Cheers!

Jordan Wernet (253) 431-6082

My name is Jordan Wernet. I’ve been with Olympia Fire since 2017. I enjoy fitness, archery, music, and finding new house projects to waste my money on. This career is amazing, but often brings us face-to-face with the worst side of humanity on a regular basis. Fortunately, we don’t have to face that by ourselves. I’m honored to be a part of this team and hope that if a day ever comes when you need this resource, you won’t hesitate to reach out to me or one of the other amazing members of our team. Take care of yourself!
