Lacey FD3 Peer Support

Kirk Beatty - (LFD3 Coordinator) (360)489-4068

I’ve been with Lacey Fire for nearly 30 yrs. I was born and raised right here in Lacey, graduated from NTHS in 87’. I’ve been married for 26 yrs. to my wife Mardee and we have 2 daughters (25, 21) and 1 son (17). I enjoy spending time with family and friends. On my days off you can find me either working in the yard, road cycling, swimming, in the gym or out on a walk or hike. Serving in the capacity of a firefighter has been rewarding, but it has also brought its fair share of difficulties. I’ve had a few challenges over the years and with help, been successful in navigating this “roller coaster ride” of life as a public servant. I am proud to be a part of the Peer Support program and to be able to care for and support my brothers and sisters in public service. I am available to talk or just listen to anyone at any time. If I don’t answer please leave a message and I’ll be sure to call you back.

A.J Paulsen (360) 870-3199

I’m A.J. Paulsen, recently retired Lieutenant from Lacey Fire Dist. 3. I hung my bunker gear up for the last time on September 1, 2021, after 30 years with the LFD 3. I spent five years as a volunteer and was hired in July 1996. I am currently still active with the Thurston County S.O.R.T through McLane/Black Lake Dist. 9. During my career I spent time with the TCSO Dive Rescue Team. My time with the Dive Team gave me the opportunity to develop many more relationships, and an understanding of what our brother and sisters in law enforcement deal with on the job.

My wife Amy and I have been married for 33 years and have three amazing adult children. Our son is on his own and our twin girls are finishing up their sophomore year at St. Martin’s University. I am an avid sailor and enjoying racing sailboats and being out on the water as much as I can. If the weather cooperates, I can generally be found doing something outdoors: riding my Harley, cycling, hiking, or walking the CW trail with my wife.

I am honored to be part of this Peer Support Group. I have long felt that one of the best resources we have in difficult times;

Jess Moore (253) 224-7502

I was hired with Lacey Fire District 3 in 2013.  My wife and I have been together 15 years.  We have two toddlers (a girl and a boy) and new puppy. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I enjoy playing and writing music, cooking, wood working, and my most recent hobby is building our family’s new home. I’m excited to participate in our County’s Peer Support Program and promise to make every effort for the people of our organization.  I look forward to helping in any way I can.

Eric Bamer (360) 790-1995

I’ve been with Lacey Fire Department for the past 25 years. I helped create the Peer Fitness Program here at Lacey. I’m married and have three school aged children, including one with special needs. I enjoy the outdoors, gardening, health and fitness, farm life, poker and sports. Like life, the fire service is full of ups and downs. “Remember the ups while you work through the downs and always be working towards, “Total Wellness” I believe in a strong work life balance to support that. Please reach out whenever and wherever.
